Creating while renovating ... and some beats

Several weeks passed since last writing but that does not mean anything (is mine) wouldn't had been happening. In fact I soon composed new song bases after the first grind piece, trying different soundscapes while recording. But other than that, not really focusing into the actual creation currently even that I have clearly good vibe for diving into that as time permits - mainly because there are so much going on currently. And I'm not even talking about summer holiday I'm soon going to have (well deserved, too). In the middle of it all, we are still settling in into our new home, and while it's built in mid 1970s, it means there is lots of renovation to be done. That takes some time and some of it shall continue in 2022 too. And time ... goes also into small garden which we now have; trimming, tuning, tweaking and crafting it towards "our style" bit by bit, so to speak. Etc. And that's not even all there's going on, apart from  having of course daytime job to take care, too.

There is also a serious source of inspiration and key to new era of creation(s), too: I celebrated my birthday in late May, in a special way ... finally buying electric drumkit for myself. For both playing and of course home studio experiments. It's something I've been thinking for years and years already. It will be  a while before I'm recording grind style drums myself for Scumfusion, but the drumkit is massive source of inspiration and joy, no matter the music style. Drums & beats have always been big, big thing for me. So, in recent weeks I set up that drumkit and took initial "how it feels" sessions and finetuned drums' positions etc, starting from zero ... then I started drumming some songs to see can I drum them the way they go (and it felt great to notice that I could do some parts of them). The first ones that I went trying and I guess this tells quite a lot about where I come from, too;

1) Death "Leprosy"
2) Autopsy "Twisted mass of burnt decay"
3) Bolt Thrower "Spearhead"
4) Napalm Death "Life?"
5) Slayer "Raining blood" and "Angel of death"

Not that I'd went them throughout (except "Life?", ha ha) but bits and pieces. Probably "leprosy" and "spearhead" practice sessions out of those five the most. Anyway, it's a beginning! Spark v2.0.
