Short announcement; now you can find all Scumfusion releases from Spotify. Everything is as it has always been (the material) just that "under exoriant light" is practically "under exoriant light + 3" package, containing all 3 earlier releases as a sort of bonus material.
Enjoy!

10 years since UEL
It just crossed my mind, about a week or two "too late" - that recently it was exactly 10 years since the release of "under exoriant light". Since there was no blogging done back then, I don't have the exact release date with me anymore. But it was around middle of June 2006, what I recall.
This rehearsal video was recorded about one month earlier, originally true rehearsal video - I just remixed the final release's song over the rehearsal video after UEL was released. So, let's celebrate the event with this little blast from the past. :)

Synthetic forces visual lapse
While cleaning my raw video materials, I stumbled across some clips from Summer 2012 - when I recorded videos for creating "a music video for SF, video which has water as main element in it". Back then I had a vision for blue/black toned video, through brutal post processing - but look what happened ... hah! I crafted this video today and it's pretty much opposite to the original idea. Not blue but more like red/yellow, not black but more towards white, bright sparkling light etc.
Mixed in the lyrics and some effects, also used clips of nephew acting in the water the way I directed them to act. Like there would be something in the water ... ;)
Enjoy! Both the summer and this video!

Rehearsal clip
Here's a little rehearsal clip quickly recorded just today. Talk about grindmas present? ^_^
Oh and it's a new song that (as it reads in youtube clip description too) that could be or not on the next release. Anyway, enjoy and have a nice festive season.

Newsflash
Today was the 1st day since ages that I worked with Scumfusion material. Worked literally, not just planned - did some serious drumtests (machinery), liked the initial test result and also crafted a possible new Scumfusion song base while at it. Recorded loosely guitars and got a demo with drums and guitars. Sounded so inspiring that ... well, I felt that it might be soon time for writing new Scumfusion material. Sooner than I'd think. Though I have also plans for continuing the doom metal project, too ... but we'll see.
Oh, the new songbase, it's about 37 seconds long. A noisy start. ^_^

What goes around ...
Last friday I received a guitar I used for recording "under exoriant light" back in 2006. As a matter of fact, I didn't even remember this guitar existing anymore - so receiving it for free was a nice little nostalgic surprise. I gave the guitar to my big sister as a birthday present back in 2007 Spring, and forgot it after that. Why I gave it away in the first place was simply that it wasn't great at staying in tune - I replaced it with some BC Rich guitar back then (which I no longer have either, I've been Gibson products' fan since early 2012).

I won't be recording anything with this guitar, but I do have some use for it; it works well as travel guitar - something to bring along and play wherever you are. As this is 3/4 scale guitar - it's quite small one. During past weekend I went through the guitar, cleaned it - changed the strings and to my surprise noticed that it seems to be staying in tune quite allright now. Reason? Back in 2006 I have used way too heavy stringset for it! Stupid is, stupid does. So, it will be nice travel guitar ...
... until some day in the future if I proceed with certain aquarium project idea; then I might strip the guitar clean from all metal / iron elements and could possibly use it as decorative element for a bit different kind of aquarium. ;)
PS: This guitar can be seen in this one rehearsal video from 2006, in case if you haven't seen the video.
